The Cavendish Users’ Committee of the
CIUSSS West-Central Montreal is recruiting!
You are invited to submit your candidacy to become a member of the Cavendish Users' Committee, which serves users in Côte-St-Luc, Hampstead, Snowdon West, Nôtre-Dame-de-Grâce and Montreal West, and includes the following sites: CLSC René-Cassin, CLSC Benny Farm, Catherine Booth and Richardson Hospitals, as well as four long-term care centers and an intermediate resource.
The objective of this notice is to elect individuals who will sit on the users’ committee to represent the community, Catherine Booth and Richardson Hospitals, and CLSCs René-Cassin and Benny Farm (home care, mental health, youth, etc.).
The functions of the User Committee are to:
- Inform users of their rights and obligations;
- Promote improvement of the quality of living conditions of users and assess their degree of satisfaction with regard to the services obtained from the institution or any competent authority;
- Defend the common rights and interests of users or, at the user’s request, defend his or her rights and interests as a user, before the institution or any competent authority;
- Accompany and assist a user, on request, in any action he undertakes, including the filing of a complaint;
- Ensure the proper operation of each residents’ committee, and see that they have the resources necessary to exercise their functions.
Who may submit his/her candidacy:
Any individual or his/her representative who is receiving or has received health or social services from the institution at any of its sites. Committee members must be available for a monthly meeting and participate in the activities of the committee.

Deadline for candidacy submissions:
Candidacies must be received before Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 5:00 pm. The elections will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00 am.
