The Jewish General Hospital proudly hosted the second annual Canadian Hospital at Home Conference, bringing together healthcare leaders, researchers, policy-makers and innovators from across Canada and North America.
Building on the momentum of our own Hospital@Home program—now a cornerstone of virtual care across the CIUSSS—the conference explored how this model continues to evolve through research, clinical innovation and cross-sector collaboration. Attendees engaged in a dynamic program of keynotes, panels and workshops covering patient and caregiver experience, clinical outcomes, digital transformation, and system-level implementation.
A highlight of the final day was the keynote by Dr. Robert Thirsk, Canadian astronaut and physician, who shared insights from space medicine to illustrate how care can be safely delivered in remote and resource-limited environments. His presentation underscored the importance of remote monitoring, strong interdisciplinary coordination, and adaptive clinical decision-making—principles that are directly shaping the future of Hospital at Home.

Hosting this conference reflects the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal’s leadership in reimagining care delivery and strengthening partnerships with healthcare, academic, government and industry collaborators across jurisdictions.
The success of this event was made possible through the dedication of our organizing committee, the engagement of our speakers, and the valued support of our partners and sponsors.
