Three projects developed by teams across our CIUSSS were recognized last evening at the Santé Québec Prix Empreinte 2026, held at CHU de Québec–Université Laval.
Award-winning initiatives:
- Mental Health and Social Service category
Passage vers le rétablissement : Projet pilote d’hébergement transitoire clinique pour les personnes en situation d’itinérance has enabled dozens of people experiencing homelessness to access safe transitional housing along with round-the-clock clinical support.
- Institutional Inter-Collaboration category
Hospitalisation virtuelle en mode Hub-and-Spoke is the first virtual inpatient unit in Canada—both within and between hospitals—a model that in five months admitted 120 patients and helped save 786 hospital days.
- Performance and Optimization category
Stratégie adaptative et analyse croisée des résultats rapportés par les patients en oncologie uses a business intelligence tool generating annual savings of over $700,000 while optimizing blood transfusion practices, improving lengths of stay and reducing postoperative complications.
The winning initiatives were honoured for translating ideas into tangible actions through innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement, enhancing care and services for our clients, patients and residents.
